At CareLync, your privacy isn't just a feature — it's our core architecture. We've built an offline-first health tracker that puts you in total control of your sensitive data.

1. Data Collection

We do NOT collect, harvest, or sell your personal health data to third parties. All information you input into CareLync is stored locally on your device's internal encrypted storage. This includes:

  • Health Vitals: Blood pressure, heart rate, blood glucose, weight, height, SpO2, and other physiological measurements.
  • Medical Profiles: Age, gender, and selected health conditions (e.g., Diabetes, Hypertension, Women's Health).
  • Medications: Medication names, dosages, and adherence logs.
  • Women's Health & Cycles: Menstrual cycle dates, symptoms (e.g., cramps, mood, energy levels), basal body temperature, LH test results, and fertility/ovulation estimates.
  • Usage Data: Basic app engagement metrics (stored locally) to improve your experience.

2. No Central Servers

CareLync does not use a central cloud database to store your personal health information. Your data lives on your device and nowhere else unless you explicitly choose to back it up.

3. Cloud Sync & Backups

If you enable "Cloud Sync," the app exports an encrypted backup directly to your own private cloud account (Google Drive, OneDrive, or iCloud). This connection is strictly between your device and your storage provider; we never see or store your backup files on our own servers.

4. Sharing with Family

Sharing is strictly voluntary and is performed through standard system sharing methods or local peer-to-peer scanning. You choose exactly what information to share and with whom.

5. Health Data Usage

The health data you record is used solely for your benefit within the app:

  • To generate trends, charts, and health insights based your history.
  • To calculate metrics such as BMI, Estimated GFR, and menstrual cycle/fertility predictions.
  • To provide medication reminders and tracking based on your input.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We believe you should have complete control over your data:

  • Retention: Your data is stored on your device as long as the app is installed or until you choose to delete it.
  • How to Delete Data: You can permanently delete all your health records and your profile at any time directly within the app.

    Steps to Delete: Go to Profile → Scroll to Delete Profile & Data → Confirm Delete Permanently.
  • Uninstallation: Deleting the app from your device will also remove the local database containing your health information.
