Privacy Policy

At CareLync, your privacy isn't just a feature — it's our core architecture. We've built an offline-first health tracker that puts you in total control of your sensitive data.

1. Data Collection

We do NOT collect, harvest, or sell your personal health data. All information you input into CareLync (vitals, health conditions, profile info) is stored locally on your device's internal encrypted storage.

2. No Central Servers

CareLync does not use a central cloud database. There is no central server where your data is aggregated. Your information lives on your phone and nowhere else unless you explicitly choose to back it up.

3. Cloud Sync & Backups

If you enable "Cloud Sync," the app will export an encrypted JSON backup file directly to your own private cloud storage (Google Drive, OneDrive, or iCloud). This connection is peer-to-door — the data travels from your device directly to your storage provider. We never see, touch, or transmit this data through our own infrastructure.

4. Sharing with Family

Sharing is entirely voluntary and is done through standard system sharing methods (PDF/CSV exports) or local peer-to-peer scanning. You choose exactly what to share and with whom.

5. Third-Party Services

The app uses on-device machine learning (ML Kit) for OCR scanning of lab reports. This processing happens locally on your CPU/GPU; no images of your health reports are ever uploaded to the cloud for processing.

6. Your Rights

Since we don't store your data, you don't need to ask us for a copy or to delete it. You can export your data anytime from the "Settings" menu, and deleting the app or your profile from the device permanently removes all associated data.
